The Hybrid Subway Bus Concept

Tired of sitting in traffic behind those slow moving buses? How about the hour long bus rides in the mornings due to unreasonable traffic. Well, Shenzhen Hashi Future Parking Equipment Co. may just be able to solve your problems. Based out of Beijing, China, Shenzhen presented their “3D Fast Bus.” Looking like something out of Transformers 3, the bus has a completely hollow inside, allowing it to straddle cars on the road. The pure genius behind this idea is pretty amazing. To be high enough to fit cars underneath the bus and low enough to drive under the overpasses, this “straddling bus,” as many refer to it is quite a marvel.

The concept will actually begin construction at the end of the year in Beijing’s Mentougou district. Not much has been said about the safety features and what type of risks are involved, but we should find out once the project is complete. As seamless and revolutionary as it seems, this concept still has a long way to go being incorporated in major cities around the world. It looks as though they’re off to a great start and will succeed if their projections are correct.
